Christopher Lowe
Senior Pastor
Pastor Chris Lowe serves as the lead pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Belleville, Illinois, a calling he answered in 2025. He and his wife, Christa, were married in 2004 after meeting at the church they both attended while growing up in West Virginia. Chris earned a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration in 2006 and a Master’s in Christian School Administration in 2011. For 14 years, he served as an assistant pastor, gaining experience in a wide range of ministry roles. In 2021, God blessed Chris and Christa with their daughter, Elizabeth—affectionately known as Lizzy. Pastor Chris is passionate about leading the congregation with a heart for Scripture, family, and community.
Scott Baker
Pastor Emeritus
Pastor Baker served as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church from June 1, 1982 to February 7, 2016. After being saved in 1970, Pastor Baker surrendered to full time ministry and attended Bible College at Fellowship Baptist College in Peoria, Illinois. In 1987, Faith Baptist School was established under his leadership to provide a Bible-based, quality education and to assist families in training their children to be worthy representatives of Jesus Christ. Over the last thirty-four years many lives have been touched, many souls have been saved, and many Christian servants have been called and sent forth into the Gospel ministry. On February 7, 2016 Pastor Baker retired and transitioned the leadership of the church and was bestowed the title "Pastor Emeritus" for his faithful service. Pastor Baker continues serving the Lord faithfully here as a beloved Preacher, trusted advisor, counselor, and teacher.
